First Meto 2033 DirectX 11 Screens

The lucky reporters over at Strategy Informer have posted up some new screenshots of their upcoming action shooter Metro 2033. There are some very eye-popping facial features and look at those details.

Metro 2033 takes place in a post-apocalyptic Russia, mainly in its capital Moscow. The player is put into the metro system, under the putrid air outside

Metro 2033 will storm into stores on March 16th for the Xbox 360 and PC.

Nintendo DS2 Development Kit in Use

The rumored DS2 development kits are turning out to be real.


 
In an article today, CVG reports that one developer has gotten their hands on the kit. The Pokemon Company is the lucky winner, producers of the Pokemon series, and will begin to create new games to add to the franchise.





An insider from CVG reportedly said that "a handful" of other companies have gotten these kits also.


 

"It's genuinely the best thing I think I've ever worked with," he said. "I can tell you that it's got a 'tilt' function that's not dissimilar to iPhone, but does a lot more. We know that The Pokemon Company are getting special attention with it."

 
Unfortunately this does not mean we will see the new device at GDC. According to the source, we will not see the DS2 anywhere near the convention.


 

"Any kind of March announcement wouldn't fit with the timeline I understand the second DS to be on."

 
There it is, a new motion-sensing handheld will hit the mainstream soon.

Final Fantasy XIII Commercial is 360 Only

The first ever commercial for Final Fantasy XIII was debuted last night during the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. What makes this commercial interesting is the mention of the Xbox 360 but not the PlayStation 3. The game is still coming to the PlayStation 3 right? Yes of course, but it is weird as to why it would have no mention during a highly watched program.

Does this mean Microsoft secured exclusive advertising rights? We don't know but it could very well be considering the money they have been throwing around for exclusives lately.

New Uncharted 2 DLC Coming February 25th

 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is set to receive a slew of new Downloadable Content from its very supportive publisher Naughty Dog. Ever since the games release, Naughty Dog has supported the Game of the Year caliber game with tons of content including new multiplayer maps and skins.


What does Naughty Dog have under its sleeve for its next update? Looks like the next DLC pack will feature new maps for multiplayer and even some new trophies. Check out the full list below:
 

• Sneaky… – Get 50 Stealth Kills
• Brass Knuckles – Get 100 Melee Kills
• Tastes Like Chicken – Get 20 BBQ Medals
• Rapid Fire – Get 7 Tripled Medals in Deathmatch
• I Told You I Was Hardcore! – Complete All 3 Co-op Objective Maps on Hard Difficulty
• Made It – Finish Wave 10 in one Survival Game
• Gold Digger – Finish Wave 10 in one Gold Rush Game
• Wipe Them Out… – Win 50 Deathmatch Games
• Plays Well With Others – Win 50 Objective Games
• Still Alive – Win 50 Elimination Games
• Plundered! – Get 200 Captured Medals
• Cold Blooded – Get 2,500 Kills in Deathmatch or Elimination games

On top of that, the game's getting 12 in-game multiplayer medals:

• Tip Off – Be the First Player to Grab the Treasure in Plunder
• Protectorate – Shoot and Kill 5 Enemies that were Damaging the Treasure Carrier
• No Cigar – Kill the Treasure Carrier while They are about to Score
• None Shall Pass – Get 5 Kills while in the Hill during a King of the Hill
• First! – Get the First Kill of the Game
• Finish Him! – Get the Last Kill of the Game
• Retaliation – Kill the Last Player that Killed You
• Defender – Kill a Player that is Actively Shooting One of Your Teammates
• That Was Embarrassing – Earn a Shutout in Plunder
• Put’em Down – Kill Someone in the Knockdown State with a Pistol Weapon
• Unlucky – Die 5 Times in a Row without Getting a Kill
• Tricky – Kill a Player with a Pistol Weapon while Hanging

The new DLC will focus on the original Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, giving players character skins and multiplayer maps inspired from the first game. The two new maps The Flooded Ruins and The Facility will be included.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves PlayStation 3 Trailer - DLC Trailer

The DLC will available on the PSN Store for $5.99 with everything on February 25th. For just the maps it will be $3.99. For just the skins you will only need to pay $2.99.
